Team Lead Developer (Bolivia)

Area of Accountability 

The Team Lead, in a hands-on capacity, not only provides leadership but actively contributes to the technical work of the team. They bridge the gap between high-level requirements and the tangible outputs, ensuring that projects are steered to fruition with direct involvement and expertise.

Navigating both the technical and leadership realms, the Team Lead acts as a pivotal point in steering development projects to success. Combining expert knowledge with a visionary approach, they ensure that technical requirements from product owners are translated into robust solutions. Actively leading projects, they remain a constant source of support and direction for their team, fostering an environment that balances focused individual tasks with collaborative team efforts.

They play a crucial role in facilitating both intra and inter-team collaborations, ensuring that knowledge and skills are leveraged across different functional areas of the business. Key responsibilities 

  • Directly engaged in coding, reviewing, and testing alongside the team, contributing to the hands-on work required for project completion.
  • Ensure the team’s output aligns with set technical standards and project requirements.
  • Oversee project timelines, resource allocations, and deliverable outcomes.
  • Offer continuous support, direction, and professional development opportunities for team members while working alongside them.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical Leadership in connected departments and subsidiaries.
  • Promote a positive, growth-centric, and collaborative team environment through active participation.
  • Defining technical approaches and solutions for projects with a hands-on perspective.
  • Prioritizing tasks and assignments within the team, including personal work assignments.
  • Resolving technical disputes or challenges within the team through direct involvement.
  • Addressing team conflicts or challenges, fostering harmony and collaboration.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Significant hands-on experience in software development or relevant technical domain.
  • Demonstrated leadership or managerial experience, preferably in a technical setting.
  • Proven track record of successful project deliveries and team leadership, with hands-on contributions.
  • Proficient in front-end and back-end technologies, including TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, GraphQL and TailwindCSS, Node.js.
  • Experience with database management and design (CloudSQL/PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in using version control tools, such as Git.
